This classic magnetic cat flap is operated with a magnetic key. Your cat wears a collar with the key allowing him/her to get inside. Other animals, such as strays, not wearing the collar key cannot get in. One key is included but additional keys can be purchased to give multiple cats access.
Installation is simple and includes a 2 3/8" tunnel and a magnetic weather seal to protect against drafts. This door is white finish with a see through, rigid flap complimenting almost any decor. The magnetic flap requires no batteries.
The cat flap has a 4-way security lock that can be set to in-only, out-only, opened and locked.

Staywell Infra-Red Cat Door
Staywell offers the very latest in Infrared cat door technology that ensures safe access for your cat. One of the most reliable automatic cat pet doors on the market! Prevents strays from entering through your cat door! Your cat wears a collar key that transmits a digital coded infra-red signal to the cat door which unlocks the door. The range for the collar key is approximately 6 inches. One key and collar is supplied for use with one cat. Additional collar keys can be purchased for use with two or more cats.
The Staywell Infra-Red Cat Door is battery powered and programmable (requires 4 AA batteries). Batteries should be replaced every six months. The Staywell Infra-Red Cat Door can be upgraded to run on AC power by purchasing a Transformer Kit. This electronic cat pet door opens using a "programmed coded" collar key. The key(s) are specific to your cat or cats and the Staywell Infra-Red Cat Door . This means that other cats in the neighborhood with collar keys (magnetic or coded) will not be able to open the door. In contrast, a magnetic cat pet door uses a simple "magnet key". This means that any cat or dog with a magnet collar key can open a "magnetic" cat door. Note: This cat pet door only allows cats with a programmed collar key to enter through the cat door. A collar key is not required to exit though the cat door to the outside.
